Truth FEELS Good- Day 2

Truth feels good, doesn't it?  There's just something refreshing, cleansing, and healing that takes place when the truth comes out.  Truth can be experienced through circumstances of the day, relationships with others, or simply as a reward for doing the right thing.  For example, even a child knows when they've done something wrong that it feels good to be found out!  Oh, I know - maybe not for the moment, but eventually it is a good place to get to.   Jesus said . . .

"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32 (NLT)

Understanding that truth is both an action and a Person, let's drill down in that for a moment as we study together.

Study it: 

John 8:31-36

1.  What did Jesus say that those who believed in Him would do?

2.  What does it mean to remain faithful to God's teachings?

3.  Is there more to being set free than just a "decision to follow Christ?"

4. What does it mean to be a slave to sin?

Live it:

What sin have you been set free of?

Think about how "truth" can set someone free. (Could be you or someone else - can you help?)

What can you do to more actively participate in Christ's freedom?

Is there some sin you need to be set free of?  Why not pray about that right now!
