TVCC Family & Friends,

We have a very exciting and important announcement that will be made this weekend during our services at TVCC, which is an answer to many years of prayer.  But before you arrive Sunday, I need to lay some groundwork for you.  Should you not be able to attend or watch on line, I will be sending out an email with more information next week.  What I'm presenting to your here is a basic timeline of events in the history of TVCC as it pertains to our sponsoring church and their pastor, Brother Sam Shaw.

TVCC Planted: August 23, 2000
Sponsoring Church: Germantown Baptist Church
GBC Pastor: Sam Shaw & wife Ruthe
Fall of 2000: Formal sponsorship by GBC
2001: GBC missions began weekly financial support for approximately two years - $160 per week which was used to hire bi-vocational staff members
2001: Members of GBC came and helped renovate the building on Mineral Wells which we used until December of 2009.
2003: TVCC began serving in missions alongside GBC in Binghamton Community in Memphis
2003: Went on first of many mission trips to Dominican Republic with Sam, Ruthe & GBC
2004: Sam asked if we'd like one of their used buses, since GBC was getting new ones.  The 55 passenger bus we currently have was a gift from GBC.
2007: GBC partnered with TVCC to survey West Paris Community.  The results of this survey planted the idea for the R.E.A.L. Hope Youth Center, which will open here in August.
2007 to present: Continued missions partnership with GBC as well as many other TVCC sponsored missions.

See you at the Missions Place this Sunday!

Pastor Steve

PS In addition to the above announcement, we will also be praying for and commissioning four of our TVCC members who will be leaving on mission for the Dominican Republic May 29.
