Councilmember Ervin advocates riding the bus to improve the environment.
Join her on April 21 to get an early start to Earth Day and share your views.
Greetings!
Val and the Q2
On Thursday April 3 I decided to park my car and ride the bus to work.  I believe that many residents are limiting their personal vehicle usage because of rising gas prices and fiscal conditions.

On the bus I spoke with numerous residents.  Their choice to use mass transit was influenced by many factors, including, the environment, the cost of car ownership, and the region's expansive transit options. Residents voiced the need to increase bus frequency, improve telecommuting options, and increase hybrid bus purchases.

Get an early start to Earth Day, April 21
Join me on the bus Monday April 21 to discuss mass transit and the 2009 budget.  We will depart from the bus stop on Wayne Avenue and Dale Drive at 7:30AM.

The County has a $300 million dollar budget gap, and I am interested in hearing your thoughts on our County's priorities.  Council will be evaluating our services, taxes, and public contracts, how do you think we should address this situation?
