| It is has been a pleasure to serve the residents of District 5 over the past year. To see what I've been working on in the community and at the Council please read my Winter 2008 newsletter.
In 2007, I helped provide services for working families and their children, developed initiatives to improve the way we serve children who are falling behind their peers in school, worked to help protect the County's watersheds, promoted environmentally sensitive road design, and proposed a comprehensive pedestrian safety initiative with the County Executive. Over the past year, I have learned how rewarding my job is, and I know that I have just scratched the surface.
Nothing is certain in life except change. As we face the many changes and challenges that lie ahead in 2008, I look forward to continuing to work with you to enhance our community and make District 5 a great place to live, work, and play. I wish you and your family health, happiness, and prosperity in 2008.
