Class Descriptions Aikido is a Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba. Aikido focuses on using your opponent's energy to gain control. Karate Kicks Asana Each workshop begins with a focus on a specific yoga pose (asana) or aspect of yoga practice and explores the forms and patterns in the body that support that pose. That experience is then applied to the fundamental movements of a complementary karate technique. World Kanreikai Karate is traditional Japanese full contact karate taught with an emphasis on good body mechanics and breath control. Kanreikai Karate has affiliate schools in the United States, Canada, Israel, Russia and Poland. Filipino Stick Fighting Instructor Tony Ortiz of New York Eskrima takes you through the basics. |
