Season's Greetings from all of us at The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. May there be Joy in your life, Love in you heart, and Peace within your being.
There are many festivals that are celebrated this month, the darkest month of the year in the Northern hemisphere. They remind us that even in the darkest times there is the hope and promise of light. When I light some candles in my home at Christmas time, I like to remind myself to find some light within myself and the world around me.
There is a beautiful prayer by St. Francis of Assis that says:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
The regular yoga class schedule will be interrupted for a Christmas break. Please read the announcement below about our holiday schedule.
