The Lunar New Year has begun.
My teachers have often reminded me that
beginnings are the most important part of any work. If we have set clear
goals with conscious intentions at the beginning, we have made a firm
foundation for the future. Then, as life's events unfold, we must use
our discrimination to act wisely and well.
We are the creators of our own destiny. Let us go into the future with clear minds, open hearts and the courage to face life's challenges.
Let's remember to be grateful for what we have. May our yoga studies and practices prove liberating.

| From Amsterdam to Honk Kong |

| Clé Souren, a senior Iyengar teacher from Amsterdam, will lead a workshop at The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong from May 9 - 13.
Clé co-founded the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Amsterdam, one of the largest Iyengar institutes in the world. He teaches workshops, medical classes and teacher training. His gruff, yet wise and fatherly manner, eases students more deeply into postures than they previously thought possible.

Asia Yoga Conference opens registration
|
Evolution, Asia's largest yoga conference, is now open for registration. This gathering will raise awareness of yoga and give students worldwide the opportunity to learn directly from the best international yoga masters. From Western and Indian traditions, renowned teachers Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Shiva Rea, Sharath Rangaswamy and David Life will be joined by many others, including IYHK's Linda Shevloff.
Lectures, panel discussions, music and a Yoga Bazaar will be part of this landmark event to be held June 1-4, 2007 in Hong Kong. Early bird prices are now available.
