Happy New Year to all from the teachers at
The Iyengar Yoga Centre!
The first newsletter of 2007 begins with a quote
from B.K.S. Iyengar. From there we highlight our
Early Morning New Year Yoga Sadhana, Birjoo
Mehta's workshop, and Saturday Yoga Sutras classes.

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
Study and explore eightfold path
Add another dimension to your yoga practice with
the study and exploration of the Yoga Sutras of
Patanjali.
The Yoga sutras define and describe the eightfold
path of yoga that most modern systems of yoga are
based on. Although written some 2000-3000 years, the
Yoga Sutras are just as relevant for yoga philosophy
and practice today as it was when it was written.
Each class will include discussion on a number of
key sutras, and time for discussion. Students will
be asked to reflect on the meaning of the sutras and
explore how these may be relevant in their own lives.
The Yoga Sutra Study Classes are intended to be
serious in content, yet light-hearted and fun in
presentation. They are suitable for all students who
are open to explore this fascinating text and the
possibilities it offers.
Saturday, 6th January 2007 (ongoing weekly)
Time: Saturday, 1:45pm ? 2:45pm
Cost: $120 per class
