I can't believe that we are only 12 days into the new year and I have already broken one of my New Year's resolutions. Darn! Oh well...I knew that I couldn't stay away from chocolate too long.

Actually, I am very proud to speak about some of the changes here at Btech this year. Our ManageCare service now has a new weekly network statistic report, our managed firewall service is using new hardware with up to 10 times the processing power, and we have begun the conversion process of our remaining non-virtualized servers to VMware.

As I mentioned above, VMware is one of the hottest companies out there, and virtualization is changing the way that data centers work.

Virtualization is the ability to run multiple servers on one piece of hardware. Gone are the days of "one server, one application" environments. In addition, VMware products virtualize the desktop, and other aspects of the network including switches and storage.
