| NALC 19th Annual National Food Drive |
|
On Friday, May 13th & Saturday, May 14th, United Way of Forsyth County will partner once again with the Cumming Post Office and the National Association of Letter Carriers for the 19th annual NALC National Food Drive to "Stamp Out the Hunger".
Last year approximately 12.5 tons of non-perishable items were collected from Forsyth County residents living in zip codes 30040, 30041 and 30028. Nine local food banks benefited from the collected items allowing them to increase their support to families in need throughout our community in 2010.
Simply place a bag of non-perishable food items at your mailbox on the 13th and/or 14th and your letter carrier will collect it from your home as they deliver mail along their postal routes. The collected items will then be distributed to local food banks serving the Cumming and Forsyth County community. The Cumming Post Office will also collect donations May 9th-13th at their location on Tribble Gap Road in Cumming.
Your generosity will make a tremendous impact on families who continue to struggle during these challenging economic times to meet even their most basic needs. Join us as we work to "Stamp Out the Hunger".
