Come celebrate those that helped make the 2011 United Way Campaign a success! We will be recognizing those individuals, companies (both big and small) and community members that provided tremendous support to our annual campaign.
We will be celebrating at the Forsyth Conference Center (7745 Majors Rd). Tickets are $15 which includes 2 drink tickets and delicious hors d'oeuvres served up by Chef Kern's.

19th Annual NALC National Food Drive to "Stamp Out the Hunger"

United Way of Forsyth County will once again partner with the Cumming Post Office and the National Association of Letter Carriers for the 19thannual NALC National Food Drive to "Stamp Out the Hunger".
If you live in zip codes 30040, 30041 or 30028, simply place a bag of non-perishable food items at your mailbox on the 13th and/or 14th and your letter carrier will collect it from your home as they deliver mail along their postal routes. The collected items will then be distributed to local food banks serving the Cumming and Forsyth County community. The Cumming Post Office will also collect donations May 9th-13th at their location on Tribble Gap Road in Cumming.
Last year,in partnership with the Cumming Post Office, United Way of Forsyth County collected approximtaely 12.5 tons of non-perishable items from Forsyth County residents. Nine local food banks benefited from the collected items allowing them to increase their support to families in need throughout our community in 2010. |
