With the holidays soon approaching, we'd like to make sure your specimen remains stable to ensure proper specimen arrival! In observance of the Thanksgiving Holidays, Metametrix will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26.  We ask that you ship FedEx 2nd day (gray) no later than Monday, November 22, and FedEx Overnight (orange)  no later than Tuesday, November 23.  Porphyrins LogoStudy Verifies the Effects of Mercury Exposure

Metametrix, in collaboration with the University of Georgia Department of Pharmacology and Biomedical Science, has completed a study verifying the effects of mercury exposure in rats. After collecting urine from a group of rats exposed to mercury, a peak in precoproporphyrin was detected. Metametrix is the first and only clinical laboratory to verify the critical effects of mercury on the biochemical pathway.
