Greetings!
We are excited to announce our 25th Anniversary in 2009, and hope you will join us in celebrating throughout the coming year. Along with new profiles, we will be spotlighting a different health focus each month. For January, we have launched the new Fat-Soluble Vitamins Profile and provided a great article on the nutritional impact of balanced vitamin intake. | New Fat-Soluble Vitamins Profile |
 Strengthen bones and decrease the risk of heart disease
Testing fat-soluble vitamins together in one panel is important because nutrient functionality is dependent on the adequate supply of each nutrient. For bone health, taking vitamin D without adequate levels of vitamins A, E, and K may be detrimental since all are needed for proper bone calcification. Antioxidants, such as Vitamin E, CoQ10, and beta-carotene, help ensure proper oxidation-reduction chain reactions.

Metametrix Clinical Laboratory is excited to celebrate 25 years of service to our clinicians and patients. From our founding in 1984, Metametrix has focused on providing quality, innovative testing to the healthcare community. We first introduced the Amino Acids Profile and later became the first clinical laboratory in the industry to offer quantitative fatty acids and organic acids testing. Along the way, next generation technologies have included Allergix IgG4 Food Antibody testing and the GI Effects Stool Profiles. In 2001, Metametrix introduced the 1st edition laboratory reference, Laboratory Evaluations in Molecular Medicine and followed up with its expanded 2nd edition, renamed Laboratory Evaluations for Integrative and Functional Medicine in 2008.
