Greetings!

As we enter 2008, Metametrix is gearing up with new educational programs and further upgrades to our testing profiles in the works! We also have updated the 2008 Directory of Testing Services booklet and will begin sending those out over the next few weeks.  Read on for a new article on fatty acids or check out some of our many upcoming events, including a seminar series in Australia next month!
What Fatty Acids Tell Us
Fatty AcidsReading Between the Lines

Fatty acid testing done alone, or as part of the ION, can give you an immense amount of information in directing interventions. Varying patterns can help to identify not only fatty acid deficiency or excessive intake, but also signs of the metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, and digestive impairments of fat.

Plasma fatty acid profiles represent dietary intake and metabolic changes of fatty acids such as de novo fatty acid synthesis, metabolism, and products of oxidative stress. Read on...

Client Services
New call system allows you to talk to first available representative!

To better serve our growing number of clients and patients calling Metametrix each day, we will be implementing a new call system beginning January 28. This new system will more efficiently handle the increased call volume by allowing you to speak to the next available representative rather than hold for a territory specific representative. You always have the option to dial your territory representative directly or request that individual if you prefer. We hope this new system will minimize wait times and expedite call services. Please listen carefully when calling as our prompts will be changing to reflect this new system and you may make your selection accordingly. If you have any questions or comments about this new process, please feel free to contact us!

Learn more about the Metametrix Client Services Team!
We hope you have enjoyed learning more about fatty acid testing and Metabolic Syndrome this month. In February we will be covering "Cardiovascular Health" with special features on markers related to heart health! If you would like more information on any of our testing services or educational resources please give us a call at 800-221-4640 or visit our website at www.metametrix.com.

Sincerely,
