Alpha Tocopherols and Gamma Tocopherols
vitaminsRadically Different Forms of Vitamin E

Tocopherols are lipophilic phenolic antioxidants produced by plants.  Natural vitamin E includes eight chemically distinct molecules: the alpha-, beta-, gamma-, and delta- isomers of both tocopherols and tocotrienols. Gamma-tocopherol is the most prominent dietary tocopherol, but most nutritional supplements contain alpha-tocopherol. Alpha-tocopherol has been most widely researched, but interest in gamma-tocopherol has recently increased due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity.

Vitamin E Deficiency is Epidemic in Toddlers

A study of preschool kids, ages 2-5, revealed that 91% were deficient in vitamin E. Half of them didn't even have 2/3 the RDA (government recommended daily allowance). This is pathetic when you realize the RDA is only 11 I.U., while the doses that cut many diseases in half were 400-800. The parents were ignorant of trans fatty acids and the authors of the study recommended that kids eat more soy, corn, and cottonseed oils! These are genetically modified and have higher levels of pesticides and trans fatty acids! This is another example of why disease will exponentially increase.
