Are you Aggressive, Compliant or Withdrawn?

Enneagram Centers Workshop
Palo Alto, CA July 18th, 2009, 10am to 5:00pm

Dear Enneafriends,

This workshop maps the internal workings of type enabling one to develop critical self awareness and transform limiting beliefs.

  • Learn to distinguish between Enneagram types that can look-a-like.

  • Discover why some types are withdrawn and others are assertive or self-effacing.

  • Discover why the Enneagram types in the same center share the same fear but use different solutions.

  • Learn why each type behaves in a predictable manner and what constitutes each type.

Karen Horney was one of the most innovative psychoanalysts since Freud. Inspired by the platonic thoughts about will, emotion and reason,  Horney described three personality types in response to inner conflict:  the Expansive Solutions, the Self-Effacing Solutions, and Resignation.  These types were determined, depending on whether a person is opposed to others, and moves against (aggressive), moves toward others (compliant or dependent), or stands apart and moves away (withdrawn).

The comparison between the Hornevian models and Enneagram types individually as well as in relationship to their respective centers is astounding. This workshop will dramatically expand your understanding of the internal dynamics of each type.
