DID YOU KNOW.....

....if you learn your pace or at least some of your splits, you will know right where you stand going through the race and you will be more comfortable making adjustments during the race. Also, assume that at least mile one and perhaps two will be slower than you project. You might want to add time to your pace for the first couple of miles, and adjust your race to match. Finally, don't blow through the first half too fast because you feel good. Stick to the pace plan and try not to push any mile too much. A little time in the bank is good, but it does you no good if you are too tired to keep your pace up at the end.

Girls on the Run Named Pacers Events Charity Partner

Pacers Events is proud to announce Girls on the Run as an official charity partner of the Pacers Events Race Series. 

Pacers Events encourages our participants to become SoleMates and raise money for local GOTR councils.

To celebrate our partnership, Pacers Events will match the fundraising of the first 13 registered Pacers Events SoleMates, up to $262 each. Must register for SoleMates through a Pacers road race and register before July 31.  
 

Money raised through this partnership will support the Girls on the Run chapters in NOVA, DC, and Montgomery County.

To become a Pacers Events SoleMate, simply register for a Pacers race and select "I want SoleMate's information" during the registration process.  Instructions will follow from Girls on the Run.
