The End of the Season Approaches
| "XC more challenging than the AECs" - "People couldn't have been nicer" - "Beautiful (stadium) jumps" - "Have another show during the year". Praise indeed for our Area IV Championships at Dunnabeck. This must have been a great show both to ride in and help run. Organizer Brian McElheny and Secretary Kathryn Kraft are to be congratulated on leading a great team of volunteers.
Looking forward to 2011, we have a full calendar with events running from early May right through to late October. Our only "open" weekends are opposite National events such as NAJYRC and the AECs.
After losing some shows, it's great to announce that we will have two new venues both in the north of our Area just west of Minneapolis. Roebke's Run will host two events over a new John Williams designed course while Steepleview will take over from Trott Brook and use a lot of the same jumps and organization from that venerable event.
Otter Creek will host our 2011 Area Championships which brings the possibility of an Intermediate Championship division.
But our current season's not over yet. There still time to enter our last Area IV event of the year at Briar Fox Farm near Wichita, Kansas with its inviting, move-up courses.
See you there! John Clarke, Area IV Chairman
