Pony Club Horse Trials
|
Returning
Platinum Sponsor Barrington Saddlery
has teamed up with Grand Prix to
offer some top prizes for this year's FRVPCHT. For the I/P division, the first
place winner will receive a gift certificate for the New Grand Prix soft shell riding jacket; the stylish, cutting-edge,
machine-washable show coat which can be customized with piping and collar to
the rider's individual taste, and which retails around $700. The winners of
both Preliminary divisions will be sporting the new GPA cross-country skull cap; the same model Karen O'Connor has
recently been seen wearing, retailing around $500. The winning horses of each
of the Training divisions will soon be better protected by a full set of Eskadron Cross-country boots,
front and hind legs, at a value of about $300. Finally, the winners of all of
the Novice and Beginner Novice divisions can help themselves to a brand new
pair of Grand Prix breeches in a vast
array of colors either at the BSL trailer which will be at the show, or at
their store in Barrington.
Thanks to Barrington Saddlery for their ongoing support of event riders and
this fabulous Midwest event!

USEA Recognized Heritage Park Horse Trials
|
The staff of Heritage Park Horse Trials would like to invite you to consider
our event for your July competition. The Heritage Park Horse
Trials are located in a county park located in Olathe, Kansas,
a southern suburb of the Greater Kansas City area. We offer horse trial divisions from Starter Novice through
I/P. We will also be offering combined
tests for Starter Novice through Intermediate.
Not long ago all of our cross-country courses were
rebuilt. Each year new fences are added
to all of our cross-country courses and new tracks are offered to riders at our
recognized horse trial, so that every level is presented with different
questions each year.
For the horse trial in July, two starter novice divisions
will be offered. Starter NoviceA - will ride USEA BN Test A & splash through water Starter Novice B - will ride Intro test B & does not splash through
water
The cross-country fences for the Starter Novice divisions are 2' or
less, and are fun
and inviting to both horse and rider.

Catalpa Corner Horse Trials Accepting Entries
|
It's become an Area IV tradition--Catalpa Corner Charity Horse Trials (CCCHT) on the first weekend of August. This year the fun is so big it has to start in the last days of July!
Susan and Jim and all the many volunteers have been working hard to continue to improve our facility and fun event. New this year: additional land has been devoted to dressage rings, larger warm up areas and wider galloping lanes.
New courses have been developed by Ana Schravesande. The courses include more open galloping at preliminary, longer course length at training level and reversed courses for beginner novice and novice levels with extended length. New jumps have been added at all levels. The cross country course, dressage and show jumping rings are aerovated to support your horse's long-term soundness.

 Update
on the doings of the Area 4
Adult Riders - the Low Score Award winners from Mill Creek Pony Club HT,
Otter
Creek Spring HT, Briar Fox Farm HT, Silverwood HT, Carriage
House Farm
CT, and Queeny Park HT are posted on the Area 4 Adult
Riders web site. Congratulations, Chris Heydon, Jenna Brown, Andrea
Pooley, Heather Jans, Jane Severns, and Jane Walters!
On
a more humble note, for the rest
of us not in the exalted sphere, this news from Queeny Park: "In
the heat of the moment-literally 94 degrees-Ruth Rose piloted Gentle
Benjamin
Rossini through the Pedestrian Pathway Markers rather than the Eventing
Finish
Line Cross Country and got a TE during a brief heat stroke moment! Lots of laughter resulted from this
episode, including the Kindred
Spirit's group promising to set up runway landing lights at Ruth's next
event."
We'll
be waiting to hear the stories from the participants in the
Adult Rider Camp at Briar Fox this month!
