Mission Valley Pony Club is pleased to host Open Cross-Country schooling at Longview Horse Park in Grandview, Missouri October 10-11th, 2009.
Gates open from 8 am to 4 pm.
$35 per horse and rider. Additional horses with same rider: $25 per horse.

Area IV YR Compete at American Eventing Championships

Congratulations to the Area IV Young Riders who competed at the American Eventing Championship, September 9th -13th at Lamplight in Wayne, Illinois.
Open Intermediate division Julie Wolfert riding Wondaree Merlin placed 3rd and Callie Judy riding Call On Me placed 10th.
Preliminary - Junior division Elliot Blackmon riding Prince Caspian II placed 7th
Training - Junior division Michelle Mercier riding Prufrock placed 2nd and Elise
Steinberger riding First Class Trip placed 9th.
Beginner Novice Rider - Junior division Michaela Holcomb riding Scully placed 2nd.

Congratulations to all the Area IV Adult Rider competitors
at the American Eventing Championships, especially our 2nd and 3rd
place winners, Geri Washausen, Jenna Brown, Meghan Moore, and Jamie Price!

December. They would like suggestions
from us on what we would like them to discuss.

be eligible to enter a contest for a training grant this winter. To enter, you must be a current member of the
Area IV Adult Riders. Watch your email
for this opportunity! There will be two
grants, one for 20 and 30 somethings and another for the over 40 crowd. Rules will be coming out in October.

| Information for inclusion in the Area IV Newsletter must be submitted to submitnews@usea4.org. The articles must be in news-ready format and attached to the email message in either pdf (preferred) or Word. Items submitted as text within the email message will not be accepted.
Submission Deadlines are the 15th and the 1st of every month.
Articles will run once unless re-submitted. Articles will be available on the Area IV website and will be included on the Archives page for additional viewing.
Newsletters will be published 1-2x per month dependent upon the volume of news received.
