What do you think about this newsletter layout? I like change so I may switch things up every now again, but hopefully no matter what we do, you'll recognize it as quintessential Village Works. And you can do the same for yourself or your business. Puzzles are a unique way to send a greeting, market your business, invite others to a special affair, whatever you can imagine. They make you look as original as you are and keep you at the top of people's minds. Have you tried one yet? It's spring and that means spring cleaning. For us, that means going through our email list to be certain we've got as much accurate info as possible. We've been slowly letting people know that we don't want to clutter anyone's inbox. We know how that can be. So we are encouraging you to unsubscribe if you really aren't interested. We'd rather part on friendly terms than have you annoyed by our presence. But if you're going to stay, please take a moment to update your profile. Some new lists have been added and we want you to get only the info you want. Why stay? Because there are going to be some future deals that can only be had by people who subscribe with us. So spread the word! Tell your friends to get on the bandwagon! Oh and we also want to be sure we can contact you via snail mail - remember that? - because you just never know what we are going to do! May 17 - "Yes" to "I Do" Multi-Cultural Bridal Expo; Sheraton Stamford Hotel; Sunday, May 17; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 24 - The All White with a Purpose Affair; Holiday Inn Select, Downtown Stamford; Sunday, May 24; 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. We may be doing one more vending event this month but if you want more details on these events, just contact us.

Truant Teens Assigned...Jigsaw Puzzles?
Starling Jennings
looks peeved to be in truancy court. She is there for the first time
after racking up 12 unexcused absences from a Mesquite middle school.
"Why are you missing school?" Judge John Sholden asks.
The 15-year-old sheepishly answers in a barely audible voice.
After
a few minutes of questioning, Sholden deftly doles out her punishment -
a $195 fine, counseling sessions and a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle.
