Clocks have been set back and you drive home from work in the dark. Not only does it make the days seem short, you also start experiencing those winter blues. Other symptoms include low energy, anxiety, decreased sex drive, feeling blue and possible weight gain due to an increase in cravings. Sound familiar? You may be experiencing Seasonal Affective Disorder otherwise know as SAD.

  • Supplementing with Vitamin D
  • If you are someone who struggles with Seasonal Affective Disorder and would like to supplement your diet with vitamin D there are two different options. You can take a pure cod live oil and benefit from the omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin A along with the vitamin D or you could take a straight vitamin D supplement. When looking for Vitamin D capsules you want to make sure that it is the vitamin D3 form or cholecalciferol. We recommend taking between 800 and 1,000 I.U.?s daily.

  • Recipe High in Vitamin D
  • Organic deviled eggs are high in vitamin D and a perfect appetizer for holiday parties.
