NOBLE family and helping our fellow NOBLE
members affected by Hurricane Ike.

Harry E. Harman Passes |
|
Region One Vice President Siddeeq El-Amin and
the members of Region One are sad to report
the passing of Retired East Orange Chief
Harry Harman.
Following his retirement from the police
department, he worked as the
Operations Manager for the Security Division
of Delta Global Services, where he oversaw
the daily operations of the Security Division.
Harman was a Certified Protection Officer
(International Federation For Protection
Officers) and was also certified by that
organization to instruct the course.
Chief Harman attended Montclair State
University from 1968-1972, he was a certified
instructor at many police academies, in New
Jersey after completing the FBI sponsored
instructor's training courses. He was also a
staff instructor at the Delta Global Services
Manager's Academy.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday
September 22, 2008 at 1300 hours at:

Matthew Horace Sr. Passes, was Father of ATF SAC Matthew Horace |
|
President Jiles Ship and the members of the
Northern New Jersey Chapter are saddened to
report the passing of Matthew Horace, Sr., father
of Matthew Horace, Jr., Special Agent in Charge
for the ATF's Newark Field Division.
Most of you know Matthew, Jr. as one of
NOBLE's most dedicated members. He served as
President of the Washington, DC Metropolitan
Area Chapter, and as a Charter Member and
Special Assistant to the President of the
Washington State Chapter. He is now a member
of the Northern New Jersey Chapter.

NOBLE Hurricane Ike Relief Fund |
|
NOBLE members throughout the swath of
Hurricane Ike suffered devastating losses.
Fortunately, the losses resulted in property
damage but is some cases the members' homes
are inhabitable due to major structural
damage.
We have been in touch with the Regional Vice
Presidents for the affected areas and they
advise that the resolve of our members is strong.
We have established the Hurricane Ike Relief
Fund to assist those affected members.

areas. In many cases they have no hard line
service or electricity, but for now cellular
service is working.
The American Red Cross today reports the
following:
Texas:
* Last night over 11,000 people sought
refuge in 95 shelters.
* The Red Cross to date has served more
than 800,000 meals and snacks to those
affected by Hurricane Ike.
* To date, more than 2,700 Red Cross
disaster workers and volunteers have
assisted.
* More than 14 kitchens are getting ready
to serve those who need food and water.
* More than 130 Emergency Response
Vehicles are in state.
In Louisiana:
* More than 400 people were provided safe
haven last night in 9 shelters.
* Over 1,700 Red Cross disaster workers
and volunteers are on the ground to assist.
* The Red Cross to date has served more
than two million meals and snacks to those
affected by Gustav and Ike.
* More than 100 Emergency Response
Vehicles are in state.
