Words of Wisdom
No...not mine
Ahh, Facebook. Such a love-hate relationship I have with you. I will admit, however, that I often get my inspiration for a newsletter from the zillions of quotes people post each day. So this week I decided to share some quotes I like. Some I ripped off my Facebook news feed only recently, others I've loved for many years (I even read them in books and not on the internet). See if any of these inspire you, too. "You are given this life as a great gift. Enjoy it. Don't judge it, fight it, try to possess it, or control it. Conquer your own mind and live! Act direct, real, and innocent." -- Yogi Bhajan "When someone speaks to you, stop what you are doing and give them your full attention. Even if it is only to tell them you are unable to talk at that moment. People matter most." -- Judith Hanson Lasater "Patience is not sitting and waiting, it is foreseeing. It is looking at the thorn and seeing the rose, looking at the night and seeing the day. Lovers are patient and know that the moon needs time to become full." -- Shams Tabrizi

"You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened...or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the fuck on." -- Tupac
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." -- Albert Einstein
"And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course." -- Kahlil Gibran
"Your heart is always consistent. Don't blame it for anything." -- Guru Singh
"Right now the United States and China are tied in total medals. Naturally the US trails in gold because every time we win one, we hand it over on the podium to pay off our national debt." -- Stephen Colbert
"For this is guilt, if it is anything: to fail to increase the freedom of a love by all the freedom we can raise within ourselves. When we love, we have, at most, this: to let each other go; for holding on comes easily, we don't have to learn it." -- Rainer Maria Rilke
"You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul." -- Swami Vivekananda
