Welcome to LaGrange County

LaGrange County is great a place to... You fill in the blank! Advanced Manufacturing, Transportation & Logistics, Agriculture and Food Processing, Alternative Energy - these are just some of the industries currently existing and thriving right here in our county. The LCEDC has five goals that we work towards for our community: 1) Business Attraction, 2) Business Retention and Expansion, 3) Improving Quality of Life, 4) Expanding Entrepreneurialism and 5) Enhancing the Local Tax Base. Business Attraction is a goal of every economic developer, but at the LCEDC we have been working towards building our product so that the decision to choose our community to locate your business comes easy. When a business chooses to set its roots in LaGrange County we feel responsible to make sure that this business has a good reason to stay and grow. We strive to make our existing businesses feel like they are always customers as we understand that LaGrange County must continue to make our community business friendly. With our focus on Quality of Life we ensure that LaGrange County is not only a good place for businesses, but also a place that residents are proud to call home and that visitors are happy to return to. We hope to encourage and expand Entrepreneurialism by cultivating home grown leadership and providing the tools that entrepreneurs need.

Growing Businesses in Our Community
So far this year, the LCEDC has visited a number of businesses in an effort to find out what they need
and help them fulfill those needs. This is part of our ongoing efforts to make sure our existing business
base feels at home and knows that our community values their contributions to our local economy. If you would like to schedule a visit with either Keith or Lora, please call us at (260) 499-4994 or email Lora Tormanen, Project Manager for the LCEDC at ltormanen@lagrangecountyedc.com.

CR 750 N and St Rd 9 Intersection
A few weeks ago, the LCEDC sent a request to INDOT to look at and repair the intersection of CR 750 N and IN-9, specifically the damage that has been done to the southbound lane running west onto CR 750 N and into the Fawn River Crossing/Howe 121 park. The LCEDC has now received word that the state has agreed to fix the intersection with a deep patch asphalt fix to the turn lane. The engineering of the project is still pending but the project is set to finish by late fall. The LCEDC would like to thank David Fought at DRV and Kyle Lennard at Lennard Ag for recognizing the issue so that measures of repair could be taken.
