Lisa Hoskin named Metropolitan Pima Alliance Government Relations Director;

Brings 20 Years of Local Land Development Experience to Organization


TUCSON (Jan 24, 2010) - The Metropolitan Pima Alliance (MPA) has selected Lisa Hoskin to lead the organization's government relations efforts. Hoskin is a native Tucsonan and a former vice president of a national home building company.


 

MPA President Brian Harpel said, "Lisa's experience in land acquisition, entitlements and land development will be very useful in helping her identify key local issues and recommend reasonable solutions. Additionally, the board felt that her strong relationships with local jurisdictions and municipalities would be a great asset."


 

As Government Relations director, Hoskin will report directly to MPA Executive Director Amber Smith. Together, they are responsible for working closely with the MPA board to influence public policy and decision-making and to facilitate dialogue between members of the development community and those in the public sector.


 

Upon learning of Lisa's new MPA role, Town of Marana Mayor Ed Honea responded, "Our interactions with Lisa have always been productive and we look forward to working with her in this new capacity. "
