A new Food Truck has come to Surf Brewery. Escabeche Bistro serves hand-made corn tortillas and French Mexican and has become a regular on Thursday evenings, making that three nights a week on-site food is offered! |  |
An All Grain Homebrew class is being held on August 18th. This class is designed for those looking to make the jump from extract to all-grain brewing, or maybe just looking to learn more of the science behind the mashing process. The focus will be on the mash, assuming that people know how to conduct the boil and fermentation. Saturday evenings music will start on the 11th with the Cattawailers Band. Come and listen to their blue-grass performance. A local reggae band new to Surf Brewery, Joh Mon Soul Band, will play on the 18th and August 25th brings us the blues/rock band Smokey and Friends. All bands begin at 6:00. |  |
The annual Ventura County Fair always brings a sense of community for people of all ages with their numerous departments showcasing thousands of exhibits comprised of livestock, crops, artwork, baked goods, crafts rides and more. Look for Surf Brewery's booth on August 4th in the AG building. |  |
Also, on August 4th, Surf Brewery will be apart of Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza. This event is outdoors among the pines and showcasing the best craft breweries in the country and top blues performers-This is Mammoth's biggest event-three days of party in the sun! Mammoth Lakes is a beautiful mountain resort located in the Eastern High Sierra near Yosemite National Park-The perfect place to spend a "Blues and Brews" weekend! |

On August 25th Totally Local VC and Surf Brewery are kicking off a Summer local music jam series at the Tavern (located at 211 E. Santa Clara in downtown Ventura). The Santa Barbara based band, Spencer the Gardener, will perform in the genres of Alternative, Pop and Rock. With guitars, bongos, congas, trumpets, saxophone, bass, drums and even an accordian
promises a California sun kissed, Latin tinged, genre bending, big band Surf Mariachi indie pop affair.
