The Camarillo Ranch Foundation hosted their 5th Classic Car Show & newly designated "BrewFest" and Surf Brewery was there! This event offered 1979 and older classic cars, trucks and Hot Rods.  Local breweries offered "tasting stations" allowing participants to select their favorite "Brew".  Food vendors and live music complimented the event.

Dinner At the Pumpkin Patch event was hosted by Totally Local VC and longtime Ventura agriculture mainstays the McGrath Brothers Great Pacific Pumpkins.  A gourmet dinner and dessert were catered in, paired with selections from one of Ventura County's local vintner Cantara and Surf Brewery 's  selection of beers.  Guests enjoyed a hay ride as they learned the unique legacy of one of Ventura's oldest ranches and historic farm families. This was followed by delicious dessert--pumpkin cake with chocolate filling and warm apple cider--around the campfire listening to ghost stories that were true, scary, stories that involve Ventura for centuries. What a wonderful way to mingle with the community and enter into the Fall season and Surf Brewery enjoyed being there!!

Surf Brewery has tapped a new beer!  In collaboration with Ojai

Beverage Company, we present a Belgian Dubbel. A nose of spice and baking raisins hints at the use of Belgian candi sugar, Specialty B malt, and a true Belgian yeast with a subtle nod to the locally Fillmore sourced honey.  Perfect for a pleasant Autumn afternoon!

Guy Fieri's Brew B'Que at the Santa Monica Pier--What's not to love about sunshine, BBQ, beers, music and friends? Combine all those ingredients and Surf Brewery had a memorable event! A day was enjoyed on the famous Santa Monica Pier, taking in the sun-drenched view of the Pacific Ocean, the sounds of music from Uncle Cracker, BBQ tastes from celebrity chefs and beer from some of the most notable breweries around the world!

Surf-toberfest at Surf Brewery! Surf Brewery teamed up with Ventura County's Surfrider Foundation to create an event to help them raise money for use in reducing disposable plastics; Pints Against Plastics. For just $20, each person received a collectible pint glass with beer of their choice, and the proceeds were donated to Surfrider. Festivities included two food trucks and live music by a local surf band--Soul Surfers.

Surf Brewery was a part of the 3rd Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival that took place in the beautiful patio areas adjacent to Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles. This festival featured over 70 local, regional, national, and international Craft and Artisan breweries, pouring a wide array of their beers.

Surf Brewery poured at The Santa Barbara Beer Festival, held in this scenic city.  Once again all were geared up for a great afternoon of sampling the best brewers in the west.

California Beer History Fact:

Back in the mid 1960s, Fritz Maytag took over a struggling San Francisco brewery called Anchor Brewing Company and by the early 1970s reestablished it as a high quality craft beer producer.  Today this action is widely recognized as creating

the first modern commercial craft

brewery in America.

California Surfing History Fact:

The history of surfing in California dates back to 1885.   At that time, three Hawaiian princesses were attending school in San Mateo.  They traveled to Santa Cruz and rode waves in San Lorenso river using surfboards made out

of local redwood.
