Your Board of Directors wants to insure that we communicate all the great things happening across the State and to keep you informed of what we are doing as an organization. The newsletter will consist of articles about special projects the FLGISA is involved in, news and events from each District, legislative updates, and conference information. If you didn't get a chance to attend our Annual Conference you missed one of our best conferences to date. The Speaker Committee truly outdid itself with selecting topics and speakers. We had an amazing combination of technical and leadership presentations. My favorite technical presentation had to be the data de-duplication session.

At the Annual Conference, during the Thursday afternoon session, a financial overview for the membership was presented. In summary, as a result of the discussion with our membership, the annual dues for FLGISA have increased $50, our first increase in 10 years.

Re-Imagine IT by Kevin Kryzda 

 

I had the opportunity to attend Gartner Symposium, in Orlando this year. The Keynote, and in fact the whole conference theme had to do with the re-imagination of IT. What I'd like to share with you is my notes on this topic and to present what I believe are very compelling and interesting thoughts about our industry. But more importantly, how it might affect you and the organizations you serve.

Board Elections Results and Appointments

During our Annual Conference an election for Treasurer was held. Ned Huhta, City of Ormond Beach, was elected to this position. Ned had been previously appointed to this position by the Board when Mr. Courtney Violette resigned from the City of Palm Coast and his FLGISA membership.
