Your Board of Directors wants to insure that we communicate all the great things happening across the State and to keep you informed of what we are doing as an organization. The newsletter will consist of articles about special projects FLGISA is involved in, news and events from each District, legislative updates, and conference information. Please feel free to give us feedback so we can make this a better communication tool for you!

I'd like to express my thanks to all who attended the Winter Conference in Altamonte Springs. This was our best attended Winter Conference ever! We had 101 registrants for our conference. Thanks also to the speaker committee for putting together a very timely and relevant agenda. For those of you who could not attend, the presentations are located on our NetQA message board. At the direction of the FLGISA Board of Directors, Harold Schomaker and I met with Jeff Hendry and Dena Hurst from the Florida Institute of Government (IOG).  The purpose of this meeting was to review the progress of the Certified Public Technology Leadership (CPTL) program and to clearly define the role of both the IOG and the FLGISA.

FLGISA Board of

Director Elections

 

There are four positions up for election at the annual conference.
The following positions will be open:
  
Treasurer
NE District Director
CW District Director
SW District Director
  

If you are interested in running for one of these positions or would like to nominate someone please contact Past President Kevin Kryzda, kevin@martin.fl.us, who chairs the nominating committee.

  

District elections will be held prior to the Annual Conference and announced during the business meeting at the conference.

 

The Treasurer will be elected at the conference after nominations from the floor have been entertained.
