Nash Community College students are putting others first this Thanksgiving by giving back to their community. Under the direction of the Student Government Association (SGA) and with the help of many clubs and individuals on campus, the College collected 671 pounds of non-perishable food items during the United Way Food Drive.
The SGA held a competition among Nash Community College clubs to see who could collect the most food. Among the Nash Community College student clubs to participate was Math & Science Club, Metal Workers Club, SGA, Gamma Beta Phi, Student Nursing Association, Phi Beta Lambda and Rock Solid Fellowship. The Math & Science Club won the contest with 362 pounds of non-perishable items collected. College Holiday Schedule
NCC will be closed November 24 and 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday. At Thanksgiving more than ever, our thoughts turn gratefully to those who have made our progress possible. And in this spirit we say, simply but sincerely, "Thank You and Best Wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving".
