NCC Foundation Hosts 22nd Annual Student Scholarship Golf Classic
The Twenty-Second Annual Nash Community College Foundation Student Scholarship Golf Classic was held at Birchwood Country Club in Nashville on October 6, 2011 with 144 golfers participating. The tournament raised $28,000 for student scholarships.

2011 Tournament Winners - Team Tyson

The first place team in the championship flight was Team Tyson with a total net score of 49. Team members were Blake Eldridge, Will Tyson, Brock Godwin and Brandon Godwin.
Championship Flight - Second Place Team

In second place was the MBM Corporation team with a net score of 50. Team members included: Kevin O'Connor, Scott McClellan, Brian Pate and James Watson.
First Flight - First Place Team

The first flight winner with a net score of 55 was Oakley-Collier Architects with players David Griffin, Franki Joyner, Ann Collier and Tim Oakley.
First Flight - Second Place Team

The second place winner in the same flight was the Nash Community College team sponsored by Annette Dishner with a net score of 55. Team players were: Herman Kight, Ken Mitchell, Annette Dishner and Rick Tate.
Second Flight - First Place Team

The second flight winner with a net score of 59 was The President's Team sponsored by the Improved Order of the Redmen Apache Tribe 2 with players NCC Board of Trustees Chairman Bill Marshburn, Janet Carver, Dan Sellers and NCC President Bill Carver.
Second Flight - Second Place Team

The second place winner in the second flight was the Texican Natural Gas Company team sponsored with a net score of 59 with team players Kim Weaver, Bill Sherk, Rich Worsinger and Rusty Owens.
Contest Winners
Closest-to-the-pin contest winners were: Brock Godwin on hole two representing Team Tyson, Sam Marsh on hole nine representing Autumn Care of Nash, T Hardison on hole 12 representing FAC Food Logistics and Graham Campbell on hole 17 representing Teeny-Weeny Cleaning Service. The men's longest drive winner was William O'Conney of the North Carolina's Electric Cooperatives team and the women's longest drive winner was Ashley Leonard from the Speight's Trophy Shop team. Pete Peterson from the Sandy Cross Consultant Service team won the Acer Tablet raffle.
