NCC Offers Late Start Fall Classes
Nash Community College is offering 8-week late start classes this semester beginning mid-October and running through mid-December. "Late start fall classes give students a jump start on Spring Semester and allow them more time to secure financial aid," Dean of Instruction Mike Latham said. "Our students' needs vary so we cater our offerings accordingly whenever possible." Register now by visiting Student & Enrollment Services in Building A. Campus Gives to United Way

Nash Community College has officially kicked off its United Way campaign. This week, United Way Tar River Region Executive Director Ginny Mohrbutter (below), visited Nash Community College's Betsy B. Currin Child Development Center for a United Way campaign kickoff activity with a coloring exercise.

Students, faculty and staff recently collected food for United Way and raised $645 for United Way with the Ugly Tie Contest.

The United Way Tar River Region recognized Nash Community College last year with the Bronze Award for its support during the 2010 campaign. In 2010, Nash Community College faculty and staff contributed over $12,000 through payroll deduction and other fundraising activities. Gifts to the Rocky Mount Area United Way remain local, and fund programs and services that reach thousands of people in the Nash-Rocky Mount area each year.
