Lineman Program Visited Duke Energy visited this week after hiring three NCC graduates in recent years. Duke officials shared that they are pleased with the graduates' performance and would like to hire more Nash Community College graduates. On Wednesday, Nash and Wilson County high school counselors, teachers, and principals, joined NCC's Student & Enrollment Services staff and administration for an appreciation breakfast. College staff shared an update on programs, the application process, dual enrollment and more while the group enjoyed breakfast served by NCC Culinary Technology and Hotel and Restaurant Management students. "Nash does an outstanding job of collaborating with the school system. Also, the innovative ideas and accessibility that they have are special and a positive attribute for our community," one counselor shared. New IT Director Announced
Nash Community College welcomed Jonathan Vester as the new Director of Institutional Technology on January 24.
Jonathan holds a Master of Arts degree in Education with a concentration in Community College Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Computer Information Systems, both from Western Carolina University, and an Associate in Applied Science in Computer Information Systems from Wilson Community College.
Prior to joining Nash Community College, he worked at North Carolina Wesleyan College where he served as Director of Institutional Research. Prior to Wesleyan, Jonathan worked for several years at Haywood and Wilson Community Colleges.

FAFSA Day
Each year, FAFSA Day is held at NCC, Edgecombe Community College or North Carolina Wesleyan College. This year's FAFSA Day is being held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at Edgecombe Community College.
College financial aid officers and other financial aid specialists will assist students in the completion and the electronic submission of their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms. The program is open to individuals who plan to attend college in the 2011-12 academic year, and will be held at many sites across North Carolina. Click here to register. Upcoming Events
