FREE Event.
Starting on Saturday October 16th.
This is a FREE event for those that would enjoy getting together with like-minded folks to discuss the books on our list. It's also a great way to get more out of your yoga philosophy reading!
We are now reading The Heart of Yoga by TKV Desikachar.
During this book discussion we will explore a central theme of the book - developing a personal yoga practice. TKV Desikachar provides a distillation of Krishnamacharya's (his father's) system and shares insights on his approach to yoga. You are welcome to bring your questions, insights, and observations from reading this book. We will recite and reflect on passages to fuel discussions about all elements of yoga (breathing, meditation, philosophy), teachings from these yoga masters, and will enjoy a 30 minute meditation
Discussion on Saturday October 16th.
From 1:00-3:00pm
With Carolyn Butcher.
.**Titles can be obtained through Amazon.com or other major book-seller.

Recently our studio received some bittersweet news. Valerie Grange, one of our most beloved teachers is about to open her own yoga studio in the DC area and will no longer be teaching with us. I wanted to express both my sadness on her departure and also my sincere congratulations. I feel very fortunate to have met Valerie and experience her great spirit and want to wish her the best on her new journey. I, and everyone here will miss you very much Valerie. Thank you for all the beautiful work you did here, and good luck!!!!
Very sadly, Susan Hanan has also departed and it is missed greatly by all those students that regularly took her classes. She is a wonderful instructor that empowered and impacted many lives. Susan thank you for bringing to the studio an amazing class and such a wonderful grounded and beautiful presence. You are already missed by all.
Stacy Zook has also had to make a change because of her busy schedule. Her parting is a big loss for our studio. She has been and will be missed by all the students who regularly took her Level 2/3 class.
Dear Valerie, Susan, and Stacy, we wish you the best of luck on your new journeys, and hope our paths will cross again in the future!!!
Namaste!
Laura
