Be Prepared - Tobin Solutions Was!
The recent blizzard prevented Tobin's staff from getting to the office, but we were still able to work all day and provide a high level of service.
How did we do it?
We had a plan in place that provided a way to work from outside the office and also keep in touch with our clients.
Having a plan for unforeseen events, from power failures to weather-related outages, can help keep your organization up and running, even when your systems and data are inaccessible. We can help you define your plan and see that all of the necessary tools are in place.
Here are a few things you can do to prepare for the unexpected...
1. Make sure on-call employees have the following with them at all times:
*Contact phone numbers
- Tobin Solutions 414-443-9999
- Telecommunications system provider
- Internet service provider
- Utilities such as WE Energies, sewer, water, etc.
- Managers and staff
- Fire department
*Network information
- Remote access instructions + user names & passwords
- Network, VPN, and terminal server login information
2. Also, verify battery backups on servers and key workstations are working, keep backups up-to-date, and maintain off-site copies to make recovering from a loss of data easier and quicker. |

OUTLOOK TIP: Calendar Time Increments
Hours in the Outlook calendar are listed in the sidebar that displays time of day. Lighter colored lines divide hours into 30-minute increments as the standard, but this may be decreased to 5, 6, 10, or 15 minutes or increased to 60 minutes.
To change increments, right click anywhere in the column that displays times to open the increment menu and select the desired division.

Introducing New Tobin Staff...
Two new members recently joined the Tobin Engineering Team. Colin Marshall and Andy Durst started in early February and are already answering helpdesk calls and assisting clients.
We will be featuring them in future newsletters in the "Meet the Tobin Staff" section. |
Tobin Super Bowl Tailgate Party
Sometimes the hardworking Tobin Solutions staff takes a time-out for celebrations. Naturally, we had to cheer on the Green Bay Packers prior to Super Bowl XLV. It was too cold for partying in the parking lot so we tailgated in the Tobin Solutions lab.
