 Greetings! Who is Jesus? He was an immensely popular teacher. Those who heard him teach ask the question, "Who is this man?" He empowered those attracted to him to heal in his name. The politicians and those in authority were perplexed by his popularity and asked, "Who is this man?" His disciples witnessed him rebuke storms and the wind and sea and they asked, "Who is this man?" His family and hometown friends asked, "Where did this man get this power, and what is the wisdom given to him, and such miracles as these performed by his hands?" ( Luke 7:49, Luke 9:7-9, Mark 4:35-41, Mark 6:1-3)
How do you respond to an encounter with Jesus? Everyone, from all walks of life had his own theory of who Jesus was, so Jesus asked his closest disciples, "Who do you say that I am" (Matthew 16:15). Our answer to that question reveals our world view and how well we are hearing Holy Spirit talk to us (Matthew 16:17, Colossians 1:15-17)).
