 Greetings!
Time is not a necessary ingredient to financial success. If time made you a millionaire, explain 20 year old millionaires and 80 year old paupers. Time is an ingredient of success that gives you access to mentors and knowledge. Time will not produce increase. What we do with time determines what we produce.
Money is not a mystery nor a miracle. Money is simply a reward for solving a problem. I must learn how to spend money, generate it and how to manage it. The Greek word translated "prosper" in the Bible is "euodoo." It means a good road or a good journey. God wants us to have a good journey that includes health and finances ( 3 John 2). Our journey depends on our knowledge of the principles of the kingdom of God.
The reason God's servants in the Bible were prosperous was because they invested time in discovering and operating the principles of the kingdom (Exodus 15:25, 23:26, Deuteronomy 28:1-14, Proverbs 3:10). Listen to God's promise:
"Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law (principles) does he meditate day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he does shall prosper" (Psalm 1:1-3).
God does not respond to needs or to pain. God responds to our obedience. My knowledge of the word of God does not determine my success. My obedience determines my success (James 2:21-23).
I can find no greater use of time than investing it into a relationship with Holy Spirit and discovering His principles of the kingdom. Jesus said when I put the righteousness of God and His kingdom first in my priorities, everything else is added to me (Matthew 6:33). God promises, "Blessed is the man that delights greatly in His commandments. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endures forever" (Psalm 112:1-3). I call that a good journey! We love you!
