Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Somewhere over the rainbow the future will be better. Many people live life thinking if I can just make it to tomorrow. Someday things will be better. My question is, What about today? Can we be happy and enjoy life today?

Ephesians 2:7 and 3:20 tells us that God desires for us to understand his far and beyond favor and enjoy the riches of His grace today. The Bible says God can do more than we ask or think according to the power that works in us. What power is working in us?

The power in us is Holy Spirit who we received by faith in God's grace. As I respond to what God has provided by His grace, I release the power working in me. That is why the Bible says I must renew my thinking. I must discover what the grace of God (His riches) has provided through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When I renew my mind to the grace provided, I will receive it by releasing the love of God into my circumstances.

Jesus taught that you cannot put new wine into old wineskins. Old wineskins became dry and would not expand, so, when you put in new wine they burst. Jesus was saying, I can't give you a better life if you don't expand your thinking. We must be willing to change as Holy Spirit leads us into understanding the love of God (Matthew 9:17).

How will miracles happen in your life? The Holy Spirit will overshadow you (Luke 1:34-35). His thoughts must overshadow your thoughts. When we renew our mind to his thoughts we enjoy life today (Romans 12:2, Coloss. 3:2).

Everyday we should be thinking this is going to be a great day. This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24). Expect something good to happen to you!

A frog was born at the bottom of a small well. He grew up there and was content to swim and play. He thought life just doesn't get any better than this. One day, he looked up and saw light at the top of the well. He slowly climbed up the side of the well and looking over the top of the well he saw a pond. WOW! It was a thousand times bigger than the well. He ventured further and discovered a huge lake. He gazed in amazement. Eventually, the frog hopped all the way to the ocean and was shocked. He realized how limited his thinking had been back in the well.

Life should be like the journey of that frog. As we discover more about the awesome love of God (grace) we release more of His power into our circumstances. God has dreams for you that are bigger than you understand. Enjoy where you are today but remember God has more love for you than you understand today. We love you!
