Overcoming the Pollution of Pornography

Sexual fantasy is natural to man. That doesn't mean it is good for man. To enter covenant with God Abraham was required to become circumcised. It is not natural to man to become circumcised. Man is born uncircumcised. To become circumcised man must choose to go against nature. The principle is that what God requires of man is not natural to man, it is unnatural. We require a supernatural helper to accomplish what God requires.

The Bible teaches us that we should choose to put no vile, unclean thing before our eyes (Psalm 101:3). Jesus taught that if we allow our spiritual eyes to be darkened with vile things, it affects our entire life (Matthew 6:22-23).

Without an understanding of the love of God we are not equipped to confront pornography or any of life's pollutions. We must discover that Jesus looks at EVERYTHING through a lens of perfect love. Love is described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. This passage gives 16 key points about what love is including, it keeps no record of wrongs and it never fails. Another description of love is found in Galatians 5:22 and it says love is THE fruit of the Spirit. The fruit is singular. It is not fruits of the spirit but it is THE fruit of the Spirit that is being described in both passages stated above.

Love is a choice. God so loved the world He made a choice to do something (John 3:16-17). We must Man UP and choose to walk in the lifestyle of love. Love covers sin (1 Peter 4:8). That doesn't mean that love keeps sin secret and never exposes it. The revealing of sin requires wisdom. What it means when love covers sin is that Love (God is love) has you covered. Love has your back and has the way to victory! Jesus never speaks the truth to injure anyone but to heal and restore us. Jesus has our back!

We can discover the power of love. Love is the glue that holds all victory in balance (Colossians 3:12,14). Love is more powerful than mountain moving faith. Love is a greater force than judgment, hope or faith (1 Corinthians 13:13).

If a mustard seed of faith can move a mountain then what kind of magnificent power dwells in love? What if we lived our life with just a mustard seed of love? It would produce way beyond moving mountains. It will remove the pollutions of life. Let's man up and discover the overcoming power of the love of God. As we become rooted and grounded in the love of God we will be filled with all the fullness of God (nothing lacking to overcome anything). You will release the Champion (love) in you!
