The Phoenix Landing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer organization. It was established to promote and protect the welfare of parrots through adoption, education, and refuge. Almost every bird, from the smallest to the largest, from the most loved to the most neglected, will need a new home someday. Probably several new homes. People's lives change, often unexpectedly. One day your bird may need a good new home too. Please consider adoption first! |

ADOPTABLE BIRDS
Here are a few of our many birds looking for their new homes
|
LITTLE FOOT is also called Baby, which he will repeat in several different tones. He also says phrases like "what's wrong?" and "meow". His voice is high pitched, munchkin-like. He also does a perfect cat bird call. He is a very young Sengal, just one year, and is a sponge for knowledge and adventure! His foster family is teaching him to forage, to play independently with toys, to travel around the house, and to target. He is eating fruits, raw & cooked veggies, some grains and mashes. All in all, he is becoming an awesome little bird. |
SIDNEY, SADIE, MARLEY and ANNIE are adorable one year old parakeets. They have a nice flight cage so they can get lots of exercise. There are 3 females with 1 male, but they are all sweetly bonded (don't expect them to be hand tame). Their new home needs to be attentive so we don't have baby budgies, please. They love mirrors, millet and their healthy sprouts!

Over 100 birds were relinquished to the King & Queen County Regional Animal Shelter in Virginia as a result of a hoarding situation. Phoenix Landing assisted, in conjunction with the Bailey Foundation and Project Perry. We now have 27 BIRDS of several species, including Meyers, red-bellies, conures, ringnecks and cockatiels. They are all great birds and were likely well-cared for earlier in their lives. No matter where a bird comes from, or stops along the way, they all have the potential for providing companionship and joy. Our job is to give them what they need to flourish and thrive. Let us know if you can help with these or any of the many others in our system!

|
OLLIE is an animated and charming 4 year old blue and gold macaw. He wants to have fun and would probably enjoy a busy household, as long as everyone continues to respect his personal space. His favorite exercise activity is moving on a boing, and throwing things to the ground in the hopes that you will pick everything up and start all over again. If you're looking for fun, Ollie's your guy. |
