With spring comes new beginnings and this spring is no different. Times are very exciting at Handel with a number of customers going live with their solutions in January and February. We are extremely excited to show our newest RiteTrack 4 Silverlight Client and have our first customers using it already. Do please take a moment and see what we have done in the past couple months. We have also added a few new employees, as Handel continues to assist customers in increasing their efficiency, saving money, and maintaining a more profitable bottom line. As we all know, you cannot provide services if you are not able to pay the bills. When you put money toward your own customized system, you are making your organization more efficient, without having to re-train your staff on how things are done. Call to Developers - Work with Silverlight 3

You have heard of Silverlight, Microsoft's new RIA (Rich Internet Application) platform. (If you have not, do check our our COO's 3 part blog regarding Silverlight located here.) We are looking for developers to get their hands on our RAD tool, Design Studio Suite, and give us feedback. We have learned many lessons about developing on Silverlight, and have incorporated those lessons into our tool. Our own internal developers and deployment staff have been using this product for almost a year now and so its time we got it into your hands.  What you get out of this is a look into how to develop in Silverlight, what we have done to facilitate and quicken the development time of an enterprise application in Silverlight, and last, you get to develop your own enterprise application.Your cost is your time and your willingness to help us improve the tool through your feedback. How Quick Can you Develop on the RiteTrack 4 Silverlight Platform?

 Our Vice President of Business
Development, Joe Nevshemal, writes about how quickly you can develop
on the RiteTrack 4 Silverlight platform. As a demonstration, he talks
about ConferenceTrak. Every year we
sponsor the cybercafe at the CWLA Conference. 2010 was no different,
but this year, we wanted to try something to show everyone how easily
you could configure your own custom solution on the RiteTrack 4
Silverlight platform using our Design Studio Suite.
We wanted provide a great
service to those who attend the conference, and about a month before
the conference, we came up with ConferenceTrak. ConferenceTrak is a
custom RiteTrack 4 Silverlight solution that allows you to both register
for an iPod but also allows for any conference attendee to be able to
select the tracks in the CWLA Conference they wish to attend and then
print out a custom schedule with all the related session information.
Three weeks and thirty total hours
of work later, we have a RiteTrack Silverlight ConferenceTrak solution,
just in time for the CWLA Conference. Users at CWLA would go to an
internal website, http://cwla.ritetrack.net and register. While they
are there, they just click on the sessions they are looking to attend,
as illustrated below.  Once you are done selecting the
sessions you wish to attend, you simply click the "Print Session List"
button and your custom pdf session is ready to print and take with you.  If we can do this in thirty hours,
think of what we could do for one of your projects. Why spend months
configuring a custom solution from the ground up when you can just take
our platform and in weeks, have a final solution. On
the other hand, why buy an out of the box solution, which does not work
how you do and you must spend weeks learning the new system just so you
can do your job? A customized RiteTrack 4 Silverlight solution can be
configured quickly and exactly to your needs. And you would spend LESS
money doing it. On average, a RiteTrack 4 Silverlight customized
solutions costs 35% less than an out of the box comparible product. Why
pay more on an out of the box solution that doesn't work your way, will
probably be replaced in three years, and forces all your employees to

Douglas County, Nebraska JAC goes Live with RiteTrack in January
|
Douglas County, Nebraska JAC (www.douglascounty-ne.gov/jaccms/)
went live on their custom RiteTrack Juvenile Assessment system on January 1 of
this year. This assessment center designed to serve as a focal point for
comprehensive assessment and case management. Their JAC Specialists use
RiteTrack to assess the youth's risk and manage all aspects of their case from
initial interview to release and review. All juveniles arrested or cited and released
by law enforcement are brought through this assessment center and entered into
RiteTrack. Through RiteTrack, they track and manage all the juveniles to
provide earlier and more efficient prevention and intervention services to the
juvenile when they first enter the justice system. Through excellent JAC
Specialists and their efficient use of RiteTrack, they are able to impact the
lives of the juveniles more positively and divert them from a path of serious
delinquency.
Because RiteTrack works as they do, Douglas County, NE JAC
is able to keep the same processes as before. RiteTrack just makes the
processes more streamlined and has eliminated some of the major pain points
dealing with double entry, keeping staff notified of next actions in a case, as
well as maintaining a robust reporting for their administrators and staff. The
security they have in place limits information as needed, but does it in a way
that is not intrusive nor cumbersome to their work. Plus, with RiteTrack, their solution grows with them, and
never becomes "legacy" or "old". As they change, their RiteTrack solution
changes with them. No longer do they have to replace their "old" system because
RiteTrack will always work the way they do.

Ways to Work Brands their RiteTrack 4 Silverlight Solution

 As we have written about before, Ways to Work has gone Live on our latest RiteTrack 4 Silverlight Client. They wanted to brand their RiteTrack solution and established that their program would be called "Greenlight". Why "Greenlight" you ask? Ways to Work provides loans to individuals who need to acquire transportation to get to work. "Greenlight" was chosen because through the use of their customized RiteTrack 4 Silverlight solution, they are able to easily track, process, and manage individuals to get these loans. This solution allows them to provide a green light to those individuals to become self sufficient and get to work for their own and families' success.

Larame Pope - Part-Time Marketing Assistant Intern
Larame grew up in
Delta, CO on her parent's farm showing cattle and rodeoing. Upon
graduating high school from Delta, she came to Laramie, WY to the University on
a rodeo scholarship. In addition to helping with the marketing at Handel
part-time, she is working toward a bachelor degree in marketing with a minor in
finance and is expecting to graduate in May 2010. Outside of working,
practicing, and studying, she enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities from
skiing to boating to camping. She also keeps busy with her family and
makes the long trip over the Rockies to home.
Harika Tridandapani - Part-Time Technical Support Specialist
Harika is originally from Hyderabad, AP, India, where she
received her B.S. in Computer Science in 2006 from SWCET,JNTU. She came to the
United States to attend the University of Wyoming for their M.S. Computer
Science program and will be earning her M.S.in Computer Science in May 2010.
She is not only well versed in a number of programming languages, she is also
fluent in English, Hindi, and Telugu. In her down time she likes doing all
kinds of adventures like rafting, sledding, skiing etc. She is also very
zealous about cooking, playing Casino, dancing.
