5 Simple Ways to Reduce Stress
You hear it all the time - "you've gotta take care of yourself". Easier said than done, right? Wrong! Here are 5 quick and easy ways to get those endorphins flowing and relieve a little stress.
1. Don't be a "Yes Person". Say no to those things that aren't really necessary or that you just don't have time for. Leave some time for yourself.
2. Exercise. No, it doesn't have to be for an hour. A 10 minute walk, a round of the Hokey Pokey or even some stretching exercises will provide a quick boost and make you feel good.
3. Laugh. I carry a funny book in my car for times when I feel the need for some laugh therapy. A hearty laugh washes away stress faster than anything.
4. Pray. Studies show that people of faith have an ability to find an attitude of peace even when facing difficult circumstances.
5. Eat almonds. Almonds are loaded with vitamins and minerals that help regulate mood and relieve stress. Plus all that crunching is good for releasing anger!
