Greetings!
Welcome to our Christmas Edition. Check out our new photo challenge below.
This is a short newsletter as we've put all our energy into our on-line Christmas Gift Guide and Photographic checklist which we discuss in this newsletter. I've also put a lot of time into the on-line printing service that I promised in last month's newsletter but I'm disappointed to report that this is still not up and running - 95% there I'm told but they are still sorting out some technical issues. I'll send out a special email when we go LIVE. In the meantime we have some December printing offers that you'll find in the Christmas Gift Guide. |

Young Photographers Awards
The Waikato Photographic Society held their first Young Photographer Awards recently to give all students aged 5 to 18 in the Waikato a chance to enter a photographic competition and see their printed image in an exhibition. Judging was tough with more than 300 entries from 28 schools being submitted. The overall winner was 'Garlic Bulb' by Carrie Zderich from Hauraki Plains College (view image here)
Prizes kindly donated by some leading photographic suppliers were presented at a prize giving by representatives including Graham Boswell from Snapshot Cameras. All the finalists photos were professionally mounted by WPS members and displayed for an exhibition that was open to the public - a great honour for the young photographers.
