"MY FAMILY" ...Rules here.

Capture something unplanned or staged, candid or professional. Get the family together or single one or two out. Either way, get the camera out and capture something to do with your family.

· The winning shot will be printed and framed in a 16x20" frame just in time for Fathers Day ($100 value)
· Runners up photos will be printed and framed in an 8x10" frame just in time for Fathers day.

We also have an extra special photo challenge this month to celebrate World Photography Day, the topic being...

"HAMILTON - OLD & NEW"... Rules here

Tips for a great family picture

Digital Photography tips for Capturing Perfect Family Photos
Pick the right time... try to take your family picture at a time of day that produces the nicest light - like early in the morning when the sun is just rising or late afternoon just before sunset.

Get them to have a huddle... the best technique is to position everyone so that their heads are close together and bodies overlapping. This usually does wonders to make everyone look extra friendly and happy. Then move in close to crop out distracting backgrounds. Don't worry about people's legs; zero in on the group from waist up  and fill the frame with smiling faces.
Watch the video to the right for more tips on capturing great family pictures.
