HOW TO KEEP YOUR CAMERA STEADY...

Getting blurry photos fom camera shake?
You could try to steady the camera by leaning against something solid like a wall.
If you're flexible you could crouch & rest the camera on your knee.
But ideally you should accessorise your camera with a tripod or monopod.
We have a great selection from pocket-sized "table" tripods through to monopods right up to professional tripods.

What you need depends on how far you have to carry your gear and the weight of your camera.
We have a few models where the centre-colum can be used at right angles to the tripod for macro work and copying.

NEW...
Sometimes three legs are too many - the latest addition to our range is a 2-in-1 tripod where parts of the tripod convert to a monopod.
Watch our video here.

STUDIO LIGHTING KIT

Thinking about setting up your own photographic studio? We now have a 250w lighting kit complete with a pair of lights, stands, umbrellas & softboxes. All presented in a trolley bag for $995 incl. GST.
Great for portraits but you'll need a brighter system for larger groups.
In-studio demos available - book first.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR CAMERA CLEAN...

To remove sand or dust from the outside of your camera you need a powerful puff of air - a Hurricane/Rocket blower is ideal for this.
To clean glass surfaces such as the lens, LCD screen, viewfinder and the front of the flash we suggest a microfibre cloth (they re re-washable) and photographic cleaning fluid such as Kinetronics fluid.
Alternativley, use the appropriate* LensPen with its activated carbon chamois tip. (*different shapes and sizes available)
Photographing in the fog? Carry a chamois cloth to dry off your camera.

All items in bold are available from our store :-)

DLSR OWNERS: HOW TO KEEP YOUR SENSOR CLEAN...

When changing lenses, hold your camera with the body facing sideways or downwards so dust doesn't fall into the camera.
Spots on your images? You probably have dust on your sensor. First try blowing with a rocket blower.
Spots still there? Clean the sensor low-pass filter using a "dry method" such as LensPen Sensor Cleaner or DustAid - you must lock up your mirror & shutter before attempting this (see instruction manual).
That didn't work? You must have a more stubborn mark that requires a "wet cleaner" or a camera technician.
We have a variety of sensor cleaning solutions - come in and talk to us.

We're back at the NZ Agricultural Fieldays at Mystery Creek again this year - as a sponsor of the AgArtWear and we have a site in the Bledisloe Hall so pop in and say hi if you're out there.
