In Memoriam

easter offer

Maurice Boswell, father and father-in-law of Snapshot owners Graham & Jill, and grandfather of staff member Sam, passed away peacefully on March 26th, one week after his 85th birthday.
Maurice owned and operated Snapshot for 46 years from 1946 until 1992, along with his wife Yvonne.

Customers who remember Maurice are welcome to visit the store and view the Photo Tribute book we produced to  celebrate the life of Maurice.

Greetings!

Welcome to our April newsletter.

We have A SPECIAL EASTER OFFER on a Canon camera at the end of this newsletter. This $50 discount is exclusive to customers who receive this newsletter and the $200 cash back from Canon means the net price of the camera will be $149. This is an Easter promotion and will end on April 8th, 2010 so be in quick.  If you can't get into our store before April 8th, you can purchase via our web-site without the coupon by clicking on the special links below the coupon.

CUSTOMER CARPARK now available

We now have a customer carparking space available for our in-store customers at the rear of our building. We will be policing this space to ensure it's used only by our customers while they are in our store.

A second space may be available at times. Phone if you want more details as all the other spaces in the carpark are rented by neighbours. If you park in the wrong space the driver who pays for that space and needs to park their car may get you towed!

this months accessory...
         UNDERWATER CAMERA CASE

This month's featured accessory is the DiCaPac range of underwater camera cases. These are basically a PVC bag that you seal your camera in to use underwater to a depth of 5 metres. Ideal protection for taking your camera with you on adventures involving water such as tramping, caving, kayaking, rafting, surfing, sailing, etc.
The easy to open/close durable waterproof zipper system has a UV coated polycarbon optical lens system which offers superb picture quality underwater.

Check out DiCaPac's web site here.  Not all cases are brought into New Zealand. These are the current models in stock in our store - check out the camera fitting guide here.
Follow the instructions carefully (including testing the unit without the camera) before taking your camera underwater.

tip...
           ORGANISE YOUR PHOTOS

As your photo collection grows, it is important to keep your photos organised in a way that makes it easy to find them later. Random folders full of random photos won't do you any good when you decide to search for that family photo from Christmas three years ago or your daughter's kindy photos.
Create a main folder for each year. Within this folder create subfolders for every month and/or event that you have photos from, and take the time to transfer all of your existing photos into the appropriate folders.
Once your photos are organised on your computer, it is very important that you BACK THEM UP to removable storage device or CD/DVD and store off-site to protect them from devastating events such as fire, flood, computer theft or hard drive failure.

If you want help with organising or backing-up your photos we can help. We offer one-on-one tuition as well as classes. Click here for more information.
