7th Annual Kids 4 Kids Fundraiser
|
Bring the kids out for a night of Fall fun at The Riverside Plaza this Saturday, October 6th. This has historically been one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, but we need your help to make sure this year is bigger than ever! Come out between 6pm and 8pm to help raise funds that will support programs for Wylie Center children. All proceeds help children with special needs in one of our programs. The night will include games, raffle prizes, live entertainment, a bounce house, and clowns. All you have to do to support is purchase game or raffle tickets for $1. To learn more about how you can volunteer or donate, please email Jacqueline Blanco at Jblanco@wyliecenter.org or call us at 951-683-5193. Event Flyer

Did you know that Wylie Center families can take advantage of not just one program, but sometimes multiple programs here at The Wylie Center without leaving The Wylie team? Many of our families are able to participate in multiple programs at little or no cost to them and make use of our wrap around philosophy. For example, parents in one of our Early Intervention Programs may be eligible to take our Free Triple P parenting classes. Visit our website to find out more about our programs and which one you may want to know more about.

"Have you considered what types of disasters you may need to deal with, specific to your community and your family's medical needs? Ask yourself, today: "Am I ready?"
First, think about what you and your family need and make a plan together. Consider the following three questions:
- What do you and your family need, to get through one day?
- What resources are available in your community for families who have special needs, in cases of emergencies?
- How could you prepare to survive without outside resources for at least three days?"

The Wylie Center would like to say Thank You to everyone who has kicked off the first quarter of the year with a bang! So if you've already donated, thank you, we appreciate your generosity. And if you've been meaning to make a contribution, you can help us continue our momentum into the next quarter and still give. Donate now.

FREE Laptops and Tutoring
|
1-on-1 Learning With Laptops
Did you know your child could be eligible to receive free tutoring and a free tablet laptop that you get to KEEP? That's right! As part of the federally-funded No Child Left Behind (NCLB) program, the government offers free tutoring to children who attend eligible schools. 1-on-1 Learning with Laptops uses a unique computer-based program to teach your child, and we send a tutor to your home or public library to guide your child every step of the way. Using our program, the student and the tutor work on interactive assignments that go far beyond what the classroom offers. At the completion of all tutoring hours, you get to KEEP the tablet laptop!
