Wylie Center Children Received Free Vision Screenings
Loma Linda University Vision Intervention Program came out to the Potomac Site on February 29, 2012 and March 12, 2012 to give families the opportunity to have a free vision screening. While they were here they were able to give 12 children vision screenings with their parents consent.

Thank you Loma Linda University!

UC Davis Marching Band Entertains Grant Site Children
With a beat from the drum and a toot on the horn, the UC Davis marching band arrived at the Grant site on the afternoon of March 9, 2012. All 44 members of the band and their student bandleader came in with more excitement than a circus. They wore crazy hats to entertain the children at the site. They played songs for a span of 40 minutes and danced and cheered to the rhythm of the instruments, as did we. The children sat in amazement as the band played. They clapped and stomped their feet to the music. It was a wonderful experience and a great opportunity for the staff and children here at the site. We want to say a huge "Thank-you" to the UC Davis marching band for visiting us and for playing such a wonderful program of music. They certainly put a smile on all of our faces.
