Dear Wylie Families and Friends,
October marks the turn of events. Leaves begin to fall, the weather becomes cooler, and summer is officially over. Here at TWC, we expereince a turn of events as well. This month we will host our 5th Annual Kids 4 Kids Event (previously known as Clowning Around 4 Kids) at the Riverside Plaza. And soon we will be hosting our annual food and toy drive.
So if you are looking for a way to get involved or just an inexpensive night out with the family, come join all of us at The Wylie Center. Sincerely, The Wylie Center |
5th Annual Kids 4 Kids Event
(previously known as Clowning Around 4 Kids)
Come have some family fun! Saturday, Oct 22 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at The Riverside Plaza
This year's event is finally here! There will be lots of things for the whole family to try and here are just some of them; entertainment, bounce house, face painting, raffle prizes, a lot of fun games and more!
The funds raised at this event will support our organization to continue providing programs for children with special needs in our community. These programs include an autism clinic, OT,PT, & speech therapy, mental health services and childcare to name a few. When services for children are closing throughout the state, private organizations like The Wylie Center provide a safety net of services for our children.

Fall Craft
Stationed on a walkway or porch, these homemade lanterns will extend a ghostly greeting and good-bye to all your holiday visitors. - Materials
-
- Clean plastic gallon milk jugs
- Black permanent marker
- Craft knife
- String of 50 clear low-wattage holiday lights
-
-
Draw ghost eyes and mouths on the jugs. Tip: Leave the caps on while you do this, so the jugs don't dent. -
Use the craft knife to cut a half-dollar-size hole in the back of each jug (a parent's job). -
Arrange the ghosts near each other and string the lights between them, stuffing several bulbs into each of the jugs.
